Pre-Debate, Trump, 1st Period
By CNN Blogger James Earles
With the debate closing in on Tuesday April 18th, I felt the need to give refresher on the candidates current opinions for those who don't know. In this post i'll be covering Mr. Trump's opinions for Taxes, Jobs, Immigration, Civil Rights, National Defense, And Environment.
Lets start off with his most well known stance, Immigration. Mr. Trump wants to "Build a wall" to keep Mexicans from entering the States illegal. When asked about how much the wall would cost he said around 8 billion. He also assured that Mexico would be the one who will pay for it. and when it comes to the illegals already in the States, he said he'd have them deported, but they were allowed to come back though legal means. "We want people to come into our country but they have to come into our country legally,β
Now you'd assume since Mr. Trump is a Republican that he would lower taxes, but he'd rather increase them. For the rich. βI know people making a tremendous amount of money and paying virtually no taxes, and I think itβs unfair.β he also wants to raise import tax to 35%. That would mean that everything that's made somewhere else in the world and shipped to america, it would be under an insane tax. I think Mr. Trump thinks this will bring corporations back from china or wherever the companies moved their manufacturing too, but this will just make companies shipping stuff over here extraordinarily high. so say goodbye to those $300 iPhones and welcome the $900iPhones
Mr. Trump says that he's "going to bring jobs back from China, Mexico Japan, Vietnam". well from what i assume his plan is, i don't think its going to work, but he does have an idea that may work out. Mr. Trump wants to "create 13 million jobs" through "rebuilding America". The way this is done is pretty much how it sounds, a lot of the bridges, buildings, and other infrastructural based things will be rebuilt or repaired.
