Welcome back to the 2022-2023 school year. I am looking forward to an amazing school year! Below you will find a lot of information regarding our bell schedule, voluntary supply list, and much more. PTA provides many opportunities for our students and supports our staff in various ways.

Parents will be allowed to bring their child to the blacktop area for the first three days of school. Please be aware teachers will not have time to have personal discussions with each family. Feel free to reach out to your child's teacher through email to set up an appointment. No parents should enter the hallway or classroom for any reason. If your child forgets something or there is an urgent matter, please visit the front office. Beginning on Monday, August 22, parents will need to remain behind the red line in front of the school and on the grass in the back of the school. Please talk to your child about your after school plans. Should they meet you at a certain spot, will you be using the car loop or do they attend daycare? Be sure your child is aware they are not to walk home without your prior permission. There will be staff out front every day that they should wait with until someone arrives. Please also know that cars cannot be left unattended in the parking loop at any time.

We are always looking for volunteers and employees in FUSD. If you would like to volunteer for SSC, PTA, or in the classroom please let us know. If you would like to work for FUSD, please see the front office for more information. We would love to have you join our team!

Attendance on the First Day of School & Reassignment of Students: All FUSD students are expected to report to school on the first day, Wednesday, August 17th, 2022. Students who are not in school the first day will not be guaranteed a seat and may be overloaded to other schools upon return.

Students must be in class the first day of school, except for those who are ill and whose parents have notified the office staff. Seats will not be held for students on extended vacations or other optional activities, whether or not the school is notified.

ALL Green students will have access to free meals here at school. Students will be asked every morning if they are going to get a school lunch so we can order the correct amount

of food. Please communicate with your child if you would like them to get a school meal and if they are choosing the meat or vegetarian option.

TK/K students are welcome to come through the lunch line and grab a lunch but there is no lunch supervision for TK/K students they will need to eat with a parent/guardian off

campus.

Breakfast will be served daily in the MUR for any interested students at 8:05am. Parents/guardians are not allowed in the MUR. Students will be supervised while they eat and will be either released to recess when finished or if they are TK/K they will be walked to class.

In order to protect the safety and security of our students, only Harvey Green students are allowed on campus during school hours. This helps us ensure that no strangers have access to or contact with our students. The first weeks of school are an exception while students are getting familiar with their class and where they are expected to line up.

Starting August 22nd we ask all parents, caregivers, and neighbors to help us implement this policy and make it work for everyone. Adults need to let the children walk to the playground by themselves. Parents can wait by the front entrance or on the back grass. Once the bell rings at 8:20am there is supervision on the playground. Please know that supervision does not begin until 8:20am unless the student is having breakfast in the MUR.

For Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten you will receive specific information from your teacher about arrival and dismissal.

Per Board Policy any parent/guardian of a student enrolled in the District shall notify the District prior to or within five (5) days of any change in circumstance and/or a move which would affect their student’s residency (AR 5111.1).

Please complete and email the Change of Address Form with 2 proofs of new address residency to your current school.
