Salmonella
Salmonella is found in eggs, poultry, meat, unpasteurized milk, cheese, and veggies.
Salmonella can cause diarrhea, fever, ab cramps, and vomiting
Knives
Remember knives are safest when they're sharp. When handing a knife to someone else, hold the blade and give them the handle, that way no one gets hurt, and everyone is happy. If you need to cut two different things, make sure you wash the knife between foods to avoid cross contamination.
Washing Hands
It is very important to wash your hands before handling any food. Make sure you get soap all over including your wrists and Inbetween your fingers. You should wash long to were you could sing the happy birthday song.
Chemicals
You don't always need chemicals to clean but when you do don't mix them. Certain combinations of chemicals can create poisonous gases that can severely hurt you and the others around you.
Oil Fires
If your cooking with oil, and it catches on fire, don't put water on it. Instead, cover it with a cloth, so the oxygen is cut off. If you pour water on it, you're putting your entire house at risk of burning down.
Timers
Make sure you use a timer to avoid burning your food. If your food burns not only will it taste bad it can cause fires and risk the health of the people around you.
Eyewash Station
1. Go to the station.
2. Pull the Knob.
3. Flush your eyes of all chemicals that might of gotten in.

Cabinets
Make sure you're closing your cabinets as you open them so no one bangs their head on them. Additionally make sure you're putting the correct plates, cutting boards, and other kitchen surfaces in the correct location
Hot Pads
Hot pads are extremely important when cooking anything on the oven or in the stove. Without the use of hot pads you will burn yourself.
Fire Extinguisher
In case of a fire, you always want to know where the closest fire extinguisher is. Additionally make sure you know how to operate the extinguisher in case you do need to use it.
