Fall 2020 Semester Wrap-up
Ms. Dodds' Mid-Prairie Library Newsletter
Fall 2020
This school year has been unusual for obvious reasons so far, but I have found the transition into the district to be one of joy and of meeting a great group of people. To give a little background, I am from Montrose, IA in southeast Iowa, I went to Iowa State for my BLS, and later received my Masters in Library Science from the University of Iowa. I spent a summer at the Library of Congress, and most recently obtained my teaching certification. I have worked in Columbia, MO, as a Librarian Editor, at a hospital library, and most recently at a high school library.
This semester has been new, challenging, and exciting. From driving home from my first week at Mid-Prairie in a derecho to spearheading a new spin on the traditional book fair with a virtual one, I am excited to work at Mid-Prairie and I invite the community to email or call me if you would like to know more about the Mid-Prairie libraries or if I can help you in any way with you or your child's literary needs.
As we look forward to 2021, I hope you have a blessed holiday season and that you get to read some good books over break. See you in the library!
