We've had a bit of a bumpy start to 2022 with an uptick in COVID cases here at LCE, but I believe we are over that peak! This newsletter will share some happier events of the past month and preview what's to come in February.

Pali Mountain Field Trip for 6th Graders
We are so happy to have had our first week long field trip since this Pandemic started. Our sixth graders enjoyed a fun week at the Pali Institute from Jan. 10 - 14.

January brought beautiful sunrises. Mrs. Slattery captured this one when she started her day at LCE.

he kids and staff jumped right back in to learning and playing after the Winter Break. Fortunately, the weather was beautiful!
100 (+) Days of School Have Passed
January also means that we are more than half way through the school year! Our youngest students celebrated the 100th day of school in style with lots of counting.
Kindness Spreads
I see so many examples of kindness daily at LCE, but the last week in January is the official National Kindness Week, and students participated in different ways.
