A Message from Our Principals
This week’s gift to children is to celebrate uniqueness. At an age where “fitting in” is often the focus, help your child value their own uniqueness as well as the uniqueness of others. What makes us different is what makes us special. In our morning announcements, we often talk about their dreams for the future. We stress that each of them, because of their uniqueness, have a gift that only they can give to the world.
As artist and dancer, Martha Graham says:
The whole world loses when we don’t honor and appreciate what makes each one of us the one-of-a-kind, absolutely unrepeatable human being we are.
Your partners in education,
Linda O’Bryan and John McEwing

Updates in Parent Pick Up for Grades 6, 7, and 8
With the weather warming up, our PE classes are headed outside. We utilize the back pickup area for classes and ask that you don't arrive until 3:00 to pick up your child. We have kept data on student pick-up in back and with student release at 3:05, the first students loading into vehicles is about 3:07 with final pick-up no later than 3:15.
Knowing that, we ask you to refrain from getting in line too early, as the pick up area will not be available until 3:00 on days that our classes are using that area.

Message from Dr. R
Ever wonder what your tween/teen is texting? Not sure how to break the text code? Take a look at some widely used texts (granted, things change and they come up with new ones all the time, but here’s a good start for us as parents/educators to know what’s up!) Also, check out Urban Dictionary to look up expressions and phrases.
What's Happening at Lake Denoon
Mrs. Singer's Friday ‘build-ups’ are so great! Thank you Kelly, Evan L., Evan P. and Lexi for going above and beyond!
A few months ago 5th grade students wrote letters to someone they admire. Today Whitney and Lexi got a response back from...Billie Eilish!!!
