Language Arts
Read to Self: 100 Book Challenge Goal: 121; Read 30 minutes every night at your fun, fast and easy level!
Word Work: Greek/Latin Roots: struct - build
Reading: begin unit on Space Exploration (return permission to share work form - yellow page); the Space Exploration unit is a district initiative to increase rigor in reading instruction
We will not need a reading book for this unit. Reading books will be collected and sent to the new building.
Work on Writing: Writing Focus: Continue paragraph formation (topic sentence, supporting details, conclusion) and begin opinion/persuasive writing to coincide with Space Unit
Math and Science
Math Topic: Topic 4 division;review multiplication facts at home. This will help with division
Science: students will take ecosystems (with fish and crickets) home on Friday; if anyone does not wish to have one sent home please send a note in to Mrs. Luf.
Health: Red Ribbon Week - Drug awareness - Thanks to Dakota Baechel for bringing in red ribbons for Drug Free Pledge.

As always- no gum in school. Please make sure your student is following this rule. Several have moved pins for chewing gum and it would be a shame if students lost green team because of gum. Thanks for your support.
