We've got great plans for you on Monday, June 8th... the LAST DAY OF SCHOOL!
Please plan to join us for the team activities and celebrations! Monday is a school day and it counts on attendance so be sure come in for the fun!
Eighth graders will start the morning with a free breakfast with their teachers. The breakfast will kick off with the return of the 6th grade Letters to Self! Mrs. Johnson and Mrs. Boley will join the 8th graders and distribute those very fun letters. Eighth graders, how much have YOU changed in three years!
The SMS Spring Award Assembly is Monday morning at 9:15. Parents are invited to join us. Parents can park in the front or back lot and can sign in at 9:00 AM. The program will end by 11:00. We will celebrate spring sports, year-long clubs, archery, Character Counts! and more!
Eighth graders end the day with their Class of 2019 Graduation Practice. Parents are invited to join us at 1:15 in the West Gym. This 'practice' is the last instruction that our middle schoolers receive before heading to high school. It is a lesson about the traditions and procedures of a graduation ceremony. Eighth graders should know that this is not a middle school graduation. This is a practice for high school graduation... which should be the next academic goal that each 8th grader sets!
We hope that you all enjoy the special activities that are planned for you on Monday! Thanks to our teachers for making this great day possible.
