Monday Morning Bearcub Brief

Volume LXVI-- 14 May 2018

"Every CUB stepping up, reaching out, moving forward!"

Kleb Kudos

Good morning and happy STAAR week! Teachers, thank you so much for all that you have done this year to make sure every Cub has experienced at least a year's worth of growth...even in a year that has been tough emotionally on everyone. Just think back, eclipse, hurricane, ice storm; nature threw everything at us this year and you have still managed to help our kids learn so much! Here are just a few examples:

My first shout out of the week goes to Meagan Solomon and Josh Tice for their outstanding work in creating a total kinesthetic experience for their social studies kids in the form of an obstacle course review. It was awesome to hear our students cheering each other on and yelling encouragement as students hula-hooped while singing the 13 colonies song, ran to place events on the interactive timeline, dribbled a soccer ball while reciting amendments and more! Thank y'all for bringing your social studies review to life!

My second kudos this week goes to Mr. Gist for arranging a trip for his Gateway to Technology classes to visit one of Klein High's new CTE courses. Thank you for showing our students new pathways in high school and extending their learning outside the classroom.
Nurse's day was this week and we can not say enough about Ms. Manning and Ms. McCollum. They do an amazing job of caring for our students and staff on campus and we are so grateful that they work at Kleb Intermediate. Thank you ladies for all that you do!
Another kudos this week goes to Ms. McDonald and all of the students that participated in the Pop Show. They performed for a packed house and did an amazing job...every Bearcub choir member had a fantastic performance, and the pinnacle of the event was a solo by Ms. McDonald herself! Thank you all so much for your hard work and dedication!
Finally, thanks to Mrs. A. Hodge and the staff for all the work they did this past week to celebrate our amazing teachers and staff here at Kleb Intermediate during Teacher Appreciation Week. Everyone enjoyed the daily events and we appreciate all the work you put into making the week so special!
