Arranging Evan Hansen. Monday, May 1st / 7:00 p.m.
Join us to learn about the hidden role of Broadway’s arrangers/orchestrators by examining the score of Dear Evan Hansen. Though composed by super team Pasek and Paul, Dear Evan Hansen was arranged by Alex Lacamoire, whose credits also include Hamilton, In the Heights, Bring It On: The Musical, 9 to 5, and the 2012 revival of Annie. Lacamoire’s signature sound permeates Dear Evan Hansen and directs the drama in subtle but important ways. “Arranging Evan Hansen” allows audiences to recognize Lacamoire’s contribution while enjoying the musical’s score at an even deeper level.
