SARTELL AND WAITE PARK PARADES 6.11.16
This parade sequence is tricky because of the timing needed to get us from the end of one parade to the beginning of the other when their start times are 90 minutes apart. However, we have done this before and it does work. We need to be very efficient.
Here is the overview of how it works:
- Students dropped off at the beginning of the Sartell parade route (explained on the handout below).
- We march the parade (4th band, approximately 25th unit).
- Upon completion of the parade, students stay in uniform, put larger equipment in cases on the trailer, load the buses and are transported to Waite Park.
- We unload larger equipment and wait for instructions to step off for their parade.
- We are the 2nd band from the end of the parade and expect to be stepping off by about 12:30-12:40 pm.
The concern for many of our students is managing food. If you could help them pack some food items that can't spill on their uniform, we will allow them to eat in uniform on the bus ride between the Sartell and Waite Park parades. Students will need to put their lunch in a spot on the band trailer at the beginning of the Sartell Parade so when we reach the end of the parade, they can retrieve it and bring it on the bus with them. Please pack the lunch in a cooler style bag that will keep the items in it from perishing in the heat while in the band trailer.
Chaperones Note: Parents driving the band trailer or serving as chaperones for these parades need to be at SRRHS by 7:30 am.
MILACA PARADE 6.16.16
The bands in our class (AA) include Bemidji, Fergus Falls, Litchfield, Alexandria and Sartell. This parade is a 3 class division parade (A, AA and AAA). Caption awards will be given for best drumline, colorguard and drum major in each class. Grand Champion will be awarded to the band with the overall highest score regardless of class.
Our load time at school reflects the need to get to the parade, do our stretch block, vis block, warm-up, dress and run sets. Typically, we arrive 2 hours before we need to step off. View the schedule below for specific times and needs for this parade.
Chaperones Note: Parents driving the band trailer or serving as chaperones for this parade need to be at SRRHS by 3:30 pm.

Sauk Rapids Parade 6.24.16
Because it is our hometown parade, we have more responsibilities to help with. Parents, many hands are needed for this parade. Should you have an interest in helping, please email Mr. Campbell and he will forward you ability to help to those who are working with that part of our parade.
Our awards program is fun to watch. Come and check it out after the parade. It is so positive to see all of the students cheering for each other and being supportive together. Know you are welcomed to come and watch the ceremony.

NEW INFORMATION: We are unit G1, which means we will be inserted in the 7th group of units. Each band is a part of a unit in their parade. Follow the map below to find our trailer, then grab your equipment and locate the band. See you at 8:30 am!!
Pick-up will most likely be sometime between 12:30 pm and 1:00 pm. at the St. Cloud Public Library area.
