AP Exam Registration

AP Exam registration began Wednesday, October 13 and will run through Friday, October 29. Each exam costs $45 ($15 for students meeting economic disadvantaged status). ALL students in an AP class must follow the instructions in this document to complete the process within the Total Registration website. Even students electing not to take exams must complete this process. It is the expectation at Monterey High School that all students enrolled in AP courses will take the AP exam.

Seniors: Caps, Gowns, and More!

Representatives from Herff Jones came to speak to all seniors today and will be back next Wednesday, October 20th from 12:00 - 1:45 in the cafeteria to begin taking orders and down payments for all senior items. A college admissions representative from Lubbock Christian University will be here Tuesday, October 19th at 2:30 in the BTR and a representative from Eastern New Mexico University will be here Wednesday, October 20th at 2:30 in the BTR. This is a great opportunity for JUNIORS and SENIORS to learn more about Lubbock Christian and/or ENMU and the admissions process. Make plans to attend! PTA & Hauntcert

There will be a PTA Membership Meeting on Tuesday, October 19th at the Buddy Holly Hall at 7:30 prior to the Orchestra Hauntcert. We'd love to see you there!

The annual MHS Feeder Pattern Orchestra Hauntcert is quickly approaching... October 19th at 7:00 at Buddy Holly Hall!! You may begin reserving tickets NOW by going HERE. You may only reserve 4 tickets at a time, but you may visit the website as many times as you wish in order to get the number of tickets you need to seat your family.

Remember, you MUST have tickets, but they are FREE!! Please reserve them ASAP.

Tutoring Lab

Does your student need some extra help in a class? Need to do some corrections? The Tutoring Lab is open every Monday afternoon and select Thursday afternoons in the BTR from 4:15 - 5:15 (Thursdays: 10/14, 11/4, 12/2). Teachers from each subject are there to help your students! Don't miss this great opportunity to get your students some extra help!


The ASVAB (Career Interest Aptitude Test) is coming up on Wednesday, November 10th. The deadline to sign up is October 27th. This test is for 10th, 11th, and 12th graders only. If interested, please click here for more information and for the QR code to sign up, or see Mrs. Lewis.

PTA Reflections

The PTA Reflections Program is a way for students to have a creative outlet in education! Whether in dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography, or visual art, we want them to find their voice and express themselves in a positive way. Entries will be judged by select Monterey Staff Members. Those that advance will be judged at the district level and then have a chance to go to STATE! Entries are due October 29th!
