Week 7
I've gotten the opportunity to make a few positive phone calls home this week, and WOW, they are some of the best phone calls to make! It has been awesome to listen to parents praise their students and just reflect on how proud they are of their students! Have you made some positive phone calls home yet? I challenge you to try to make 2-3 positive phone calls next week. They help to make the student feel good, the parent feel you, and YOU feel good!
Positive Thought for the Week from Jon Gordon: No matter what anyone says, just show up and do the work.
If they praise you, show up and do the work.
If they criticize you, show up and do the work.
If no one even notices you, just show up and do the work.
Just keep showing up, doing the work, and leading the way.
Lead with passion.
Fuel up with optimism.
Have faith.
Power up with love.
Maintain hope.
Be stubborn.
Fight the good fight.
Refuse to give up.
Ignore the critics.
Believe in the impossible.
Show up.
Do the work.
You’ll be glad you did.
Have a great weekend!
Joy

You are up for next week's morning announcements next week. Please have your students meet me at the front office of the student building on Monday, by 7:30, so I can go over instructions with them for the week. (If a student is normally a late arriver--which you might not know yet--please don't choose that student.). Also, you might want to send the script home today, so the students can practice. After Monday, students will report to the office where they do morning announcements at 7:45. Please choose students that are good readers and are full of positive energy! Thank you!
