Scientific Revolution

The start of science

What was the change?

During the Scientific Revolution many advances in math, physics, astronomy, biology and chemistry were made. Thanks to the Revolution many questions were answered but in doing so many more were created. Many accomplishments were made, from proving theories wrong to making new ones. It was named a revolution because it changed the way people viewed the society.

Who were the people associated with the change? (You may not list them)

There were many individuals involved in the Scientific revolution but the main people were Nicolaus Copernicus, Johannes Kepler, Isaac Newton, and Galileo Galilie. Isaac Newton was the main individual involved in the Scientific Revolution. Johannes Kepler spread his laws of planetary motion. Galileo studied laws of gravity and laws of motion. Newton proved that there were laws of motion and linked them with Kepler's laws of planetary motion. Galileo was the first person to try to reveal the laws but he was silenced by the church and sentenced to house arrest where he passed away. Copernicus disagreed with the geocentric theory and created the heliocentric theory which says that the sun is the center of the solar system

How did the change impact society at the time

The Scientific Revolution greatly impacted society during that time. It changed the way the most of the people viewed the society and it changed life because of the new technologies. many of the people of the current time thought that the earth was the center of the universe and they didn't know of the fundamentals of the universe law but after the Revolution they found out that the sun is the center and that if a crumpled paper and a rock were to fall at the same time then they would both hit the ground at the same time. after the scientific revolution people started to want to know more about the universe and how it worked.

How is that change evidenced in todays modern society?

Our society would not be what it is now if it were not for the Scientific revolution. Today we have many great inventions, innovations and ideas. If the revolution were to have never have happened our society would look very different than it is now. we would not be as interested in the universe, many historical events mightve never happened and we wouldnt have any of the technology we have now.
