SWIMMING LESSONS TO BE OFFERED!

The HOA received information regarding 3 potential Swim Instructors for our pool for this summer. The Board reviewed the options including qualifications and cost and decided to endorse Joey Ellwanger for this summer. Joey has taught swim lessons for the past 2 summers for us and has done a great job.

Classes will be offered throughout the month of June depending upon demand. The first classes will start June 1st and run for 2 weeks. Classes will be taught on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and will consist of 5 one-hour classes spread over a 2-week period. Classes will be early morning around 8:00am and/or around Noon but Joey will offer some flexibility on the start times depending on the needs of the parents.

Classes are offered for children ages 3 through 12 years old. Children will be divided into 2 age groupings with no more than 5 children per class.

The cost will be $50 per student for 5 one-hour classes.

Private lessons are available upon request with Joey. Cost will depend upon the length and amount of lessons.

To sign up your child(ren) for lessons, please contact Joey directly as follows:
- Cell Phone 404-219-4857
- Email joeyellwanger@gmail.com

Please let Joey know by May 25th if you are interested in lessons this summer.

NATIONAL STAMP OUT HUNGER DAY, May 9th

Saturday, May 9th, is National Stamp Out Hunger Day coordinated by our local letter carriers. If you'd like to participate, please follow these instructions:

When do I put out the food? On the second Saturday of May, just set out your food well before your letter carrier’s normal pick-up time. Note that he or she will be delivering and collecting mail as usual, on top of collecting food donations, so that pickup time could be slightly later than usual.

Do I need to use a special bag? No! No special bags are needed. Paper is sturdy and tends to hold more food, while plastic holds up better if it gets wet (in the rain, etc.). Cloth bags or boxes are also fine. So it’s your choice. And most bags and boxes can be easily recycled. We’ll take anything you leave out!

For more information, go to their website: http://www.nalc.org/community-service/food-drive
