The responsibilities of the us supreme court is to bring justice. it is also to strike down laws that violate the constitution.

2 supreme court cases
A court case makes it to the Supreme Court by going through other state courts until making it up to the Supreme Court.
Case #1 brown vs. board of edu.
In this case Brown is fighting for non segregated schools. He fighting for black and white children to learn together. He said that segregated schools were unconstitutional. The Supreme Court judges ruled in favor of Brown.
Case #2 DC vs. Heller
In this case Heller argues that he is allowed to carry around a loaded fire arm for self defense. He stated that because of the 2rd amendment of the constitution, he right to bear arms, he is aloud to carry around a loaded fire arm in self defense. the judges ruled in favor of Heller.
