Why are they endangered and where?
Point Arena Mountain beavers are endangered because of the destruction of their habitats and fragmentation mostly due to construction. Other causes may be other animals like cattle or sheep stepping on their burrows. The beavers can be found in a small area of coastal Mendocino County, California.
