Wilson Wardrobe
We are so excited and blessed to have had educators work hard to provide us with a Wilson Wardrobe for our learners. We think there may have been a slight misunderstanding. If you know of learners who are in need of a jacket and don’t have one at home, please send them to the office and they will help them get one. For many reasons, the WW is not for our learners who forget them at home and just need them for recess or PE. It may be helpful to send a friendly reminder to parents to please send jackets with their learners during the winter months. Thank you for your help! - The Office
RtI Updates/Reminders
- RtI Meetings Coming Up: Just a reminder that our next round of RtI meetings start at the beginning of February. While you are completing MOY assessments, please don’t forget to continue interventions and progress monitoring of learners in Tier 2 and 3. If you need any refreshers of what needs to happen check the notes in AWARE or contact Mary. She is happy to go over any questions you have about RtI.
- STAAR Accommodations: At our next round of meetings, 5th and 4th grade teachers, we will discuss accommodations to be provided for the April STAAR testing at your meetings.
- Parent Communication: We will be providing your with talking points and a list of your learners this week, so that we can get into compliance with the law mentioned at our last faculty meeting. If you have any questions, please ask Mary.
"Write" To The Point
Follow the button below to check out how the Writing STAAR has changed over the past 3 years and how that has impacted schools' performance.
Look especially at the 2nd page which includes ideas for solid writing design and planning.
GE Pop & Post
This month, we would like to conduct GE Pop & Posts throughout the building. Our GE coach was scheduled for Friday, but was unable to attend. She will be here February 5th, so we want to make sure our practices are still sharp throughout the building. From now until Jan 31st, please pop into a colleague's room (see below for pairings). Knock on the door and have the class greet you. Observe the classroom for 5-7 minutes. On a sticky, write an “I like” and an “I wonder” around the Great Expectations practices you notice on your visit. Additionally, please share your “I like” on the Brag Board in the office so we can showcase the great GE practices we have all seen!
