The Cub's Tale Newsletter
JUNE 2019
Principal’s Message
It is hard to believe that the end of another school year is upon us. As we close in on the remaining days of the school year, I’d like to remind you of changes in the usual schedule. Monday, June 10th through Wednesday, June 12th will be “Early Dismissal” days. Starting time is as usual and dismissal times are 1:10 PM for students in grades 1, 2, and 3. Students in Preschool and Kindergarten will dismiss at 1:30 PM. Our Third Grade “Moving Up” ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday, June 12th and will begin at 9:00AM, in the cafeteria. A small reception will be held in the gymnasium after the ceremony. I encourage you to continue to read with your children throughout the summer. All students have already received their summer reading books and assignments. Please note that all books are on loan and must be returned. If a book is not returned or is damaged, you will be responsible for replacing it. Please settle up with all outstanding payments before the close of this school year and frequently check the school calendar for upcoming events. We will continue to update the school web page and Power School during the summer months. Welcome Back letters will not be mailed home. Please check your email messages and Power School for your child’s grade and teacher assignment for next year. The year would not have been a success without the volunteer spirit of our PTO. This group of parents did an awesome job of planning and organizing school fundraisers to benefit our students from Preschool to Grade Three. Thank you Nicole Krumenacker, Mr. & Mrs. Mike Hopkins, Paula Huhn and Lori Seedes, we appreciate the tremendous amount of time and enthusiasm you put into all you do for CSS. The PTO is still in need of new volunteers for next school year. Please get involved. Thank you to our dedicated faculty and staff for the education they provided each day to our students. They are providing your child with an educational foundation that will carry them throughout their lives. Finally, to our school community, thank you for your cooperation in helping us do our jobs. We are in a joint effort. Please continue to take an interest in your child’s educational experiences. We wish each of our school families a relaxing and refreshing summer ahead. Be safe!
Yours truly,
Mrs. Karen Kessler, Principal Cold Springs School
