Prior to district closures during the Spring 2020 semester, Lisa Descant (Chief Executive Officer for Communities In Schools of Houston), Syble Ned (CIS Student Support Manager at Klentzman Intermediate School) and Dr. Alvia Baldwin (Alief ISD Director of Guidance & Counseling) sat down with Superintendent HD Chambers to discuss the significance of Communities in Schools of Houston (CIS) in Alief ISD schools. They discuss the importance of CIS's integrated student supports and core services and how the partnership positively impacts students at all grade levels.
