Title I
It is with great enthusiasm that The Office of Federal Programs announces our next Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) meeting. This is an opportunity for parents to learn about the different federal programs offered in Gwinnett County Public Schools and to provide their input on each. This meeting will take place on October 3 from 5:30-7:30 PM and will be held at Rhodes Jordan Park's Community Room. Childcare will be provided and we will have Spanish, Vietnamese, Korean, and Chinese interpreters present.
New Teacher Spotlight
Let’s welcome one of the new teachers this year, Dr.Cooper. Here are some interesting facts about her. She became a teacher to teach kids why language arts is important. Dr.Cooper said the best part of her job is to see kids happy about learning, and having good talks with the kids in her class. She thinks the problems that youth face today is peer pressure and technology. Two fun facts about her is she is a dog lover and she likes cheese burgers. When asked how she felt here at Give East, she said it feels pleasant and that everyone is very nice here. She teaches language arts for 9th and 12th grade.
