Construction parking

Please give yourself time if looking for a parking spot when visiting Emerson. Because of construction, we've had a few changes which impact parking. Until construction is over, busses will be using:

1. The spots on Woodlawn north of Eagles Nest parking lot until the stop sign.

2. The east side of Woodlawn from Liberty to the first driveway on Woodlawn.

MathCenter Volunteers

Thank you to those who have already signed up to help teachers cut, organize & prep math centers for upcoming Illustrative Mathematics units! We are going to continue to have this sign-up available throughout the year as more boxes and materials are arriving with each unit. If you are willing to give us some of your time to get these centers ready for teachers, it would be greatly appreciated!! Our math coach, Courtney Farrell, will reach out to you with more details after you have signed up. Thanks for considering! Courtney.Farrell@cusd200.org

Lions Club

Each year, the Wheaton Lions host a food drive that supports the People's Resource Center. Our school will once again serve as a collection site. Our collection box is located in the office. Last year, our District 200 schools collected more than 1,000 pounds of food and we are hoping to beat that record this year! Thank you in advance for your support.

From the nurse

Did you know that screen time shrinks the ability for your brain to use your imagination?

Here are some activities that can protect your brain.

  • Increase your time in outdoors in nature

  • Do more exercise, Movement and free play

  • Make your bedroom a screen free place to improve sleep

  • Do more creative non-screen play

  • Decrease the brightness on all screens

  • Do chores at home

All these activities engage and protect your brain and help grow your imagination!
