Understanding the Common Core State Standards

Gate and Electronic Visitor Security System (EVSS)

The EVSS is in place at Hoover Middle School. This is meant to be an extra layer of security for our school. Please follow the protocol below when visiting:

  • When you approach the intercom box, have your Identification out and give the name of your child as you will be prompted to do so by the office staff
  • Hold your Identification close to the box so that it can be easily seen as your name will be match to the student name in the computer
  • Upon verification, you will be 'buzzed' in. Proceed directly to the office.

Be patient with the new process. It is in the spirit of safety.

Campus Hours

Campus gates will open every morning at 8:30 a.m. and close at 4 p.m. Hours are adjusted accordingly for school sponsored events.

After School Tutoring

After School Tutoring

Hoover’s first round of after school tutoring will end January 23, 2020. Session two will begin on February 4th and end on June 4th.
