No phones ...
Please be respectful of our "no phones" policy at the elementary school. This is a district policy outlined in the school handbook and students will not be able to use a cell phone during the school day. Students are able to access the nurse's office or school office if there are concerns or if they need to make a phone call.
Parent Teacher Association (PTA) Needs YOU!
Joining the PTA is a great way to meet other families and to help support our school!

FOOD BACKPACK PROGRAM
FOOD BACKPACK PROGRAM
We will again be partnering with the Second Harvest Northern Lakes Food Bank to provide The BackPack Program to our students and families.
The BackPack Program provides a small bag of nutritious, non-perishable food for your child to eat during the weekend when school isn’t in session throughout the school year. Each bag contains a variety of items including main entrees, breakfast items, fruit, vegetables, snacks and often juice or shelf-stable milk.
If you are interested in the program, either fill out the form and send it back to school with your student OR send your student's teacher an email stating: "I give permission to have my student in the backpack program".

COVID Updates ...
The School District has updated their Safe Learning Plan. Here are a couple of the big changes:
- There is no longer a 7-day shortened quarantine form.
- We still follow these parts of the MDH Decision Tree:
- First Path (green)
- Second Path (yellow)
- As for the "Close Contact Path" (blue)...please see the updated Safe Learning Plan for the school district's policies (pages 4-7): Safe Learning Plan
Families, please continue to use the Student COVID Reporting Form for sharing the following COVID information with your school:
- Student tested positive for COVID-19 (lab confirmed case)
- Student experiencing symptoms consistent with COVID-19 and awaiting test results
- Student experiencing symptoms consistent with COVID-19 but has not been tested
- Student's been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19
- Student's household member experiencing symptoms consistent with COVID-19
Cold Weather / Delays / Closures ...
The decision to close or delay the start of school due to severe winter weather is made prior to 6AM.
Unless you hear an announcement over local TV and radio stations that schools are closed or delayed, you can assume that school will be in session as scheduled.
- All families should have a contingency plan for their children in the event of weather-related school closings or a 2-hour late start.
- When weather causes a 2-hour late start, this is for students AND school staff. Do not send your child to school before 9:30am if there is a 2-hour late start. There is no staffing to supervise prior to 9:30am.

When an overworked mother and her teenage daughter magically swap bodies, they have just one day to put things right again. Freaky Friday, a new musical based on the celebrated novel by Mary Rodgers and the hit Disney films, is a heartfelt, comedic, and unexpectedly emotional update on an American classic. By spending a day in each other's shoes, Katherine and Ellie come to appreciate one another's struggles, learn self-acceptance, and realize the immeasurable love and mutual respect that bond a mother and daughter.
