Mycenaean Civilization


Mycenae was a fortified late Bronze Age city located between two hills on the Argolid plain of the Peloponnese,Greece. Peloponnese is located southern Greece forming the part of the country south of the Gulf of Corinth.


The Indo-European people called the Achaeans, who spoke the Greek language, migrated into Greece sometime between 2000 B.C. and 1700 B.C.


The Mycenaean Civilization flourished in the late Bronze Age, from the 15th to the 13th century BCE and extended its influence not only throughout the Peloponnese in Greece.
