William Shakespeare was born in 1564. His parents were John Shakespeare and Mary Arden. He had 7 siblings in his family and they lived in town of Stratford. His father was an official of that town. Shakespeare was a great writer as well as an actor who influenced on people's world understanding. Here some curious facts about him: A 15th century clay pipe was found near the garden of Shakespeare. In it were traces of cocaine, and marijuana. Shakespeare invented and coined hundreds of words and phrases like «swagger» or «fashionable». Shakespeare currently has 946 writing credits for TV and films. Shakespeare is buried in the chancel of Holy Trinity Church in his hometown of Stratford.

The setting of William Shakespeare's play Hamlet is the fictional town of Elsinore, which is also the name of the castle referenced in Hamlet. The actual name of the castle referenced in the play is Kronborg Castle, a real castle located on an area of land between Sweden and Denmark.
