Happy Birthday to You, Dr. Seuss!

And to think that I saw it on Whitley Drive.

Thing One and Thing Two were the first to arrive.

And Yertle the Turtle did not even flinch,

When who should walk in but The Grinch!

I do not make this up! No these are the facts.

Would you believe a visit from the Lorax?

The Cat in the Hat stirred up his usual troubles,

He had Red Fish and Blue Fish blowing bubbles!

Then Horton said, “I think I hear a Who.”

We opened the door and there was Cindy Lou.

Now into the bounce house, a big inflated box,

Bartholomew Cubbins with the Fox in Socks!

The day was complete when Sam I Am,

Served cupcakes with Green Eggs and Ham.

We say thank you now to each and to all,

As our time together has been a ball.

We’ve had fun today, tomorrow will it be so?

I know it will be great! Oh, the places you’ll go!
