Description
There is an strong consensus among educators that the traditional process for supervising and evaluating teachers has not worked well. However, it's not clear that new ideas - among them, rubrics, frequent classroom visits, multiple observers, student surveys, and the use of test scores - will be more effective at improving teaching and learning.
Kim Marshall, a veteran Boston teacher and administrator who currently coaches principals and publishes the weekly Marshall Memo, will examine the old and the new and propose a five-part model for making the supervision and evaluation of teachers a truly effective component of successful schools.
Join us for a highly interactive day combining presentation, small-group work, videos, role-playing, etc.!
