Something to Yelle About
The Weekly Newsletter for the Henri A. Yelle Elementary
Yelle Newsletter for January 14th!
Hello from the Yelle.
Our first full week of 2022 went splendidly this week!
And with that, please remember that Monday, January 17, is Martin Luther King, Jr Day of Remembrance with No School for the whole district. Enjoy the long weekend; stay warm and Go Pats!
As I try to do each week, I use the big picture above to tell the story of the week in a gallery of pictures of us here at the Yelle.
The top left picture is of Slam Dunk Danny and Famous Seamus getting into each and every class every morning to discuss the trait of the day as well as get our students pumped for Boosterthon. As mentioned below and in the daily emails, we cannot thank you enough for the support you have shown so far. The top right corner picture is of some 5th Grade students and their presentations. We love when students are excited for their learning. The middle left is of some 4th Grade students working on a Science experiment/experience/exploration together. The middle right picture is of some 5th Grade students rocking out to some "old school" board games during Indoor Recess. The bottom left has our students sketching their learning. The bottom right shows our students' enthusiasm to display and present their learning on a #GeniusHour project.
The pictures above and the others from Twitter below really do relay a story of the amazing accomplishments our students and teachers have been able to achieve just this week. Please check them out below and all over our Twitter feed to help to tell the amazing story we are writing this year.
This Newsletter is mostly filled with Boosterthon info! Famous Seamus and Slam Dunk Danny have been incredible in building excitement for our Glow Run come Thursday, January 20th! NPS Virtual Tutoring Grades 1-8 Acceleration Program
Dear NPS Families:
There is a new virtual tutoring acceleration program that is available to students in grades 1-8 at no cost.
We have highly-qualified teachers available and ready to provide this extra support in English Language Arts/ Literacy and Mathematics/ Numeracy. The virtual tutoring acceleration program runs Monday-Friday from 3:00pm-7:00pm. Students may receive up to two 45 minute sessions per week.
Please sign in and book a tutoring session.
They may do so by accessing GoSchoolBox via their Classlink.
I strongly believe that this program is an important asset to our students' education as we continue to go through challenging times.
I have attached a poster for the program above and here: NPS Acceleration Program (2).pdf
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
