Fall Season Highlights
Band
The marching band performed the National Anthem at Busch Stadium.
Band competed in the Tiger Ambush Classic at Edwardsville High School and placed 3rd place amongst all 9 bands in the A and AA divisions. Both our color guard and percussion placed 2nd. We are really proud of their achievements in our first contest of the season!
- Percussion and guard won first place in the indoor competition at Wright City.
Percussion and guard won first place in the outdoor field competition at Wright City.
Marching band tied for the outstanding music caption award and earned first place in the 4A division.
- The Marching Band attended a competition on the University of Central Missouri’s campus. They won all captions and took 1st place in their division and the UCM contest. The band ended the weekend with a 7th place finish.

Performed at the Cardinal's game this Summer.
Held our Future Viking Cheer Clinic. 80+ K-8 graders attended. Pregame performance at the football game on 9/29.

Choir
Performed the National Anthem for Open House
On October 7th, 16 students auditioned for the St. Louis All Suburban Choirs. 13 students were chosen. Of those 13 students, 4 students earned an All State Choir audition which means their score fell in the top 20 scores for their voice part.

Fall Choir Concert was Thursday October 12th and was held at the Parkway Baptist Church. Students from Concert Chorale, Chamber Choir, Valholla, and Concert Choir performed.
Eli Jones: All State Choir 2nd alternate, Emily Koo: All State Choir Honorable Mention
Emily Koo earned an invitation to the 2024 Sightsinging Bee. In order to earn an invitation, you have to receive a perfect score on the sightreading portion of the All Suburban Choir audition.
Cross Country
Sophie Wong won the Varsity Parkway Quad
Remy Brawner won the JV Parkway Quad
2nd place finish for the boys in the Varsity 1st Capital Invitational
9 varsity medals at the 1st Capital Invitational
Alex Shields placed 5th at the 1st Capital Invitational

Kalina Zheleva placed 5th at the 1st Capital Invitational

- Top 20 finishers at Dale Shepard Invitational - Kalina Zheleva (14), Alex Shields (15), and Sophie Wong (16)
Cross country ran at the conference meet at McNair Park. Alex Shields (15th overall) and 1st team all conference green pool. His time of 16:50.25 was one of the better times at North High in several years. Kalina Zheleva (22nd overall) and 1st team all conference green pool. Erich Gund 2nd team all conference green pool. Several runners had their best times of the season with PRing at the race.
Cross country competed at the district meet. We qualified 3 kids for next week at state. Alex Shields got the school record and ran 16:10, Sophie Wong placed 20th and Andie Hylan placed 30th.
Sophie Wong, Andie Hylan, and Alex Shields competed in the state cross country meet in Columbia, MO. Sophie Wong medaled, took 18th place and got all state honors. She is now #3 on North’s all-time list.

Theater
The Parkway Theatre Departments from all 4 High Schools produced the musical Ranked. This all District Musical was performed the Friday and Saturday before school started in the Parkway North Theatre and 2 performances on Saturday the 26th at Parkway West. 32 Students and Parkway Theatre teachers spent 3 weeks over the summer bringing this show to life. Parkway North students who were part of the Crew/Cast were; Trent Lair, Claudia Reiling, Annabelle Zimmermann, Jack Prinzi and Riley Schoene.
In early September Max Banashek was elected to one of 4 State Level leadership positions for the Missouri Thespians Organizations. He will be working closely with the current officer team through early January to learn his role and responsibilities. Then in January he will be officially installed as a Student Thespian Officer (STO) to lead the state’s Student Thespians through March of 2025!
