Healthy Hygiene Practices: COVID-19
Nebraska Healthy Schools Program

Welcome Back!
The COVID-10 pandemic highlighted that schools are a key support system within communities across the state and play a critical role in supporting the wellbeing of staff and the whole child and staying healthy is at the core of that.
The plug and play resources provided in this newsletter are intended to support your district plans (whatever they may be) to provide evidence-based materials to decrease the spread of COVID-19 as you start the school year and train students and staff on recommended practices.
Out of School Time Road Map- Alliance for A Healthier Generation
The roadmap is aligned to the recently-refreshed National AfterSchool Association Standards for Healthy Eating and Physical Activity and includes tips to take action, trainings for staff, and resources to explore. In collaboration with CASEL, each roadmap also includes guidance on integrating social-emotional health into a healthier out-of-school time for kids.
Planning for In-Person Programming Checklist
