Jack Lowe Sr. School Behavior Plan

How we grow leaders!

The Leader in Me

•The Leader in Me is Franklin Covey’s whole-school transformation process.

•It teaches 21st century leadership and life skills to students and creates a culture of student empowerment based on the idea that every child can be a leader.

•Content from The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People is a key component of the overall The Leader in Me process.

  • The Leader in Me guides our positive behavior management plan for the school year!

Positive Consequences

We encourage positive behavior and leadership by encouraging and rewarding students who demonstrate positive leadership. Students can earn positive office referrals as follows:

•Students that show themselves going beyond their own abilities to show respect, responsibility, honesty, good attitude, hard work, self-control, etc. can be sent to the front office with a Positive Office Referral to receive praise/commendations from the office staff and/or the principal!

•Positive Office Referral recipients will also receive a special tag/sticker and a prize from the office.

•The teacher and/or the principal will make a phone call home to let parents know about their child’s positive behavior.

•The referring teacher will be entered into a drawing each time they send a students with a Positive Office Referral. A drawing for a prize will be held each six weeks!

Negative Consequences

If a student chooses to break a school rule, the Jack Lowe Sr. staff will follow the following guide for consequences, depending on the rule broken. We strive to hold students accountable by using appropriate consequences, while encouraging them through positive reinforcement.
