4th Grade Skating Unit
The much anticipated fourth grade inline skating unit starts Monday, January 27, and concludes February 7. Parent volunteers are needed to make this unit a success. All students are required to wear a helmet, elbow, wrist, and knee pads. While we go over how to put the safety gear on the week before we begin the unit, students still need help to ensure they put all the pads on correctly.
Students and need help getting their skates on their feet, laced, fastened completely, and tight enough. With extra hands we can move through this process efficiently and get the students up on skates as quickly and safely as possible. Please volunteer any number of days possible. Below is the schedule of classes.

Traffic Safety & Daily Schedule
During morning arrival and afternoon dismissal, please cross streets with the assistance of a crossing guard. Crownridge is a busy street during our morning and afternoon transportation times, and we want to make sure all of our students are safe. Please do not block the single lane at the main entrance of the school. If waiting for carline, please wait on Crownridge. When the main entrance gets blocked, staff members are not able to get into the parking lot.
Also, please be cognizant of the stop signs on Crownridge at the beginning and end of each school day. Exiting the Bush parking lot during arrival and dismissal each day also requires cars to make a right turn. There is a sign posted at the exit with the times for right turns only. Parents, please do not drop your children off outside the playground gates on the path. All car riders should be dropped off in the carline in front of the building. It is important to the safety of our students that drivers follow all traffic laws. If you see anything concerning, please let school know. We will work with parents, staff, and CISD Police to ensure the safety of everyone in the Bush Elementary Community.
School doors open at 7:30 AM each day. There will be staff and safety patrol on the front porch helping open doors until 7:48 AM. At that time, all staff and safety patrol will come inside the building to start our day. If you are in carline after 7:48 AM please be aware there will be no staff to open car doors.
Daily Schedule -
7:30 AM - Door Open
7:48 AM - First Bell = safety patrol and staff will enter the building
8:00 AM - Instruction begins = Students are tardy if they are not in the building by 8:00 AM
