School Advisory Board Needs You
International #SEL Day
The website below includes a multitude of ideas compiled for our families by The Archdiocese of Chicago to celebrate the day.
Totus Tuus at St. Damian
The Totus Tuus program aims to inspire young people to long for holiness, develop a deep desire for conversion and personally renew their faith with a stronger prayer life. Through evangelization and catechesis, Totus Tuus seeks to foster openness to the sacrifices and blessings of the various Christian vocations.
For those already familiar with Totus Tuus, we must share that student volunteers are not permitted this summer as the Archdiocese permits only adult volunteers that have successfully completed background checks/compliance requirements.
That being said - YOU are needed to help us during camps this year at St. Damian! Please contact Mrs. Plesha right away at 708-687-7778 to volunteer.
The Tax Credit Scholarship Donations!
What does this mean? A $500 donation has a tremendous impact, with the 75% tax credit, you will receive on the donation and this match. It will have a net cost of $125 to you and will provide $1,500 dollars in scholarships for low-income families.
I am pleased to let you know that for the 2020-21 school year, we received over $100,000 in gifts. This allowed 16 of our students to attend St. Damian School. However, there were still 27 students on our wait list. Please follow this link to learn more: https://schools.archchicago.org/tax-credit-scholarships
