Diamond View Middle School

Mrs. Heimbigner, Principal

Welcome Panthers

Dear Students and Families,

I am thrilled to take this moment to introduce myself to all the wonderful individuals joining our DV Family and extend a warm welcome to our returning students at Diamond View Middle School. My name is Dede Heimbigner, and I bring with me over nineteen years of experience as a dedicated classroom teacher. Now, embarking on my fifth year as the principal of Diamond View School, I am truly honored to be part of this incredible community.

As a fourth-generation Lassen County native, I hold a deep-rooted connection to this area. In my heart, I will always be a DV Panther, and I am proud to call myself an alumna of Lassen High and the University of Nevada. Whenever our DV Panthers, LHS Grizzlies, or Nevada Wolf Pack are competing, you can count on me to be cheering them on with enthusiasm!

Middle school is a crucial and transformative period in every young person's life. Reflecting on my own time at Diamond View, I remember a mix of challenges and triumphs. However, what truly made a difference was the unwavering support I received from an exceptional team of teachers, support staff, and administrators. They went above and beyond to help me reach my full potential and strive for academic excellence.

Looking ahead, we are eager to build upon the positive momentum we experienced towards the end of the previous year. We will continue to provide complimentary breakfast and lunch service, host Back to School Night, offer PE and Sports, and, even more excitingly, continue to provide opportunities for students to explore various Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathways.

Maintaining the high academic standards that Diamond View students have come to expect and fostering a positive campus culture remain our utmost priorities. We firmly believe that the best outcomes are achieved when parents and school staff collaborate, leveraging their expertise, knowledge, and genuine care for our students. I invite you to stop by and introduce yourself at your convenience. If you would like to schedule a meeting with me, please feel free to call the school office or email me directly to arrange an appointment.

I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to meet and work alongside each one of you.
