Principal's Newsletter

From the Desk of Ms. Clark

November 22, 2017

Dear Parents,

As we gather with family and friends to celebrate Thanksgiving, I want to extend a message of gratitude to you for the investment that you make in order for your children to attend our school and receive a Catholic education. On behalf of Father Mike, Monsignor Marine, and our entire SKD Faculty and Staff, I hope that you have a Happy Thanksgiving. Please be assured that you are in our thoughts and prayers with deep gratitude.

Here is a simple way to celebrate Thanksgiving:

· Count your blessings instead of your crosses.

· Count your gains instead of your losses.

· Count your joys instead of your woes.

· Count your friends instead of your foes.

· Count your smiles instead of your tears.

· Count your courage instead of your fears.

· Count your kind deeds instead of your mean.

· Count your health instead of your wealth.

· Count on God instead of yourself!

My newsletter will resume on November 30th! May God continue to bless you abundantly!

God’s blessings,

Ms. Clark

Classroom Happenings

Each week, I will highlight some of the wonderful learning experiences happening each day in our classrooms.

"F" is for Friends Forever

Kindergarten had a great time learning about things they can do with their friends. They had a fun time making lists about activities and drawing pictures. They also had a lot of fun playing on the new playground and joining their older friends at lunch!

Hello and Goodbye

First Grade said farewell to Mrs. Williams and surprised her with a Baby Shower. They also gave a warm welcome back to Mrs. Marasheski!

Kahoot Challenge

In Honors Math, 6th grade partnered with the 4th grade class, and they built Kahoot games together.

The Life of our Lord

Our seventh grade students brought in their Palestine maps, and they are beginning to present them to their classmates as well. They are learning all about the life and times of Jesus.
