Curtis Goes to Washington in 18 days!
Dear families,
Thank you for attending last night's Family Orientation Part II. It was a great turnout and I appreciate you taking the time to join. Scroll below the Dates & Deadlines to access the slides from my presentation, the recording, the Medical Self-Administration Permission Form, and remaining questions.
Snacks & Water - Donations Needed!
We will bring 2 bins of snacks (1 per road trip) per bus (that's 14 bins of snacks!) We are seeking donations of individually wrapped, non-perishable items such as pretzels, popcorn, chips, crackers, (Goldfish, graham, Wheat Thins, Cheez-its, etc.), nut-free granola bars, breakfast bars, cheese cracker sets, fruit snacks, meat sticks, dried fruit, and cookies. We will also need some gluten-free items. Aside from snacks, we are also seeking donations of 1-gallon water jugs (we need @ 30-40 jugs). We are accepting donations April 29th - May 3rd. Please drop off your donation at Curtis. Or, you can have your donation delivered to Curtis (Amazon, Costco, etc.) with my name as the recipient. Thank you in advance for your support!
There is no sign-up page for donating snacks.

Unanswered Questions
The following questions were not addressed in the slides or the presentation:
Q: Will the Goosechase app be sent out in advance? I have locks on my daughters ability to download apps without my permission and it takes a few steps to download items, with my password.
A: You can download the app in advance onto your child's phone. If they are not the captain, they can remove it later.
Q: What time is the meet and greet? What if the student is unable to come due to a medical appointment?
A: It will occur during Team Time at 2:20pm. If you know your child will be absent, they will get their shirts on Monday. If possible, I highly recommend scheduling appointments around this time, especially if your child's chaperone is a less-familiar adult.
Q: What is the nut policy for snacks/food brought from home? Are students allowed to have nut products in their hotel room if none of the roommates have an allergy?
A: Snacks containing nuts may be brought from home if no roommate has an allergy in a particular hotel room. However, they MUST be packed in the main piece of luggage to be stored under the bus. No food containing nuts will be allowed in the passenger section.
Q: Is there a list of chaperones?
A: A list of chaperones can be made available upon personal request.
