Wildcats ROAR & Titans SOAR: Week of Sept. 21
Staff Meeting Agenda
3:10-4:10
3:20-4:20
1. Let's Talk About Race, Equity & Inclusion
White Fragility Book Discussion
In the introduction, the author explains that North Americans live in a society that is deeply separate and unequal by race, that white people are socialized into a deeply internalized sense of racial superiority, and that conversations about race often challenge a white person’s sense of identity. The author, focusing on white progressives, explains that the book will define “white fragility,” discuss how it develops, how it protects racial inequality, and what can be done to overcome it.

Everyone's attention is needed to prevent students from missing their bus, especially with our younger students at Woodland.
Communication: Can you Hear me Now?
Class Dojo- Please ensure that your parents are connected to Class Dojo. We will be using this form of communication to share school and class happenings.
Food Service
The Federal Department of Agriculture has extended waivers that will allow us to serve ALL students for FREE through December 31, 2020.
Daily, the home room teacher should take a tally of how many students in the class would like a FREE meal, breakfast and lunch and notify the kitchen. Food service staff will deliver the requested number of meals to the classroom, approximately 15 minutes, before the end of the day and the teacher or aide in the class should hand it out.
Safety & Security
When exiting the building please do no leave doors propped open. The only exception is the door leading to Woodland's playground.
In the event of a fire drill, please remember to close your classroom door when exiting.
Security Drill - The State recommends holding off conducting Lockdown/Active shooter drills until the spring.
