This Week in LVUSD
Week of July 13, 2020
Community Webinar this Tuesday
Dr. Stepenosky shared our reopening plans with the LVUSD community last week. Please click the video below for an overview of our plans with respect to on-campus instruction, virtual instruction, and health and safety. More detailed information and student schedules can be found at LVUSDUpdates.org.
Please submit any questions or comments you have to the site after reviewing the plans. We will host a follow-up webinar at LVUSDUpdates.org this Tuesday, July 14th at 4:00 PM to address all of the questions the community may have.
In order to plan schedules, we are asking all families to choose, Virtual Academy or On-Campus instruction, by July 24th at 5:00 PM. Sign-ups for the two options are available at LVUSDUpdates.org.
Thank you for your flexibility, support, and understanding as we prepare for the upcoming year during this unprecedented time.
Anti-Racism Resources Now Available
LVUSD strives to provide our students and staff with the appropriate tools to empower greater cultural proficiency. We strive to create an anti-racist culture through examining tenets of social justice, implicit and explicit bias, and blind spots, all on a path of change and growth.
#LVREADS VIRTUAL AUTHOR VISITS AND MORE THIS WEEK!
This Wednesday author J. Scott Savage, will be delivering a virtual visit to LVUSD to discuss his acclaimed books. Please join us at 9:30 AM!
Family Meals Available this Summer
Beginning June 15th and throughout the Summer, meal distribution will occur on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:00am-12:00pm at AE Wright Middle School.
Parents may pick up the meals on behalf of their students; students are not required to be present. When a parent comes for pick up, they may take two days of meals for each student in their family. Please bring a bag or box if possible.
LVUSD Community 360 App Now Available
LVUSD developed a brand new app that is now available through Android and Apple platforms. The app links to free local counseling services so that families have a direct point of contact if they feel the need to talk to a mental health professional. Resources relating to food access, health supports, and updates on changing circumstances will occur through the app and our Website and Social media accounts.
There is a direct link to download the app on the homepage at Community360.me.
