Conroe High School Tiger Tracks
January 23, 2023
Hello Conroe Tiger Family,
As we get further into the Spring Semester, we have many students that are participating in various U.I.L. and other extracurricular activities. It is exciting to see our students get involved and represent our school and community with pride! We wish all of these students success and look forward to seeing them compete. It is important for our students to continue to take care of business in the classroom.
The last day of the first 3 week grading period for the second nine weeks is Monday, January 23, 2023. This progress report is an opportunity for students who failed one or more classes at the end of the second nine weeks to regain eligibility. Students who were ineligible can regain eligibility if they are passing all classes. Students become eligible at 2:35pm on Monday, January 30, 2023. Here are a few updates and reminders:
PTO Meeting - Please join us for our monthly PTO meeting which will be held on Friday, January 27th at 9:00 am. All meetings are held at Conroe High School - 9th Grade Campus!
Vape Detectors are active on both campuses: Be advised, campus restrooms are equipped with vape detectors. Students caught in possession of a vape device or under the influence may face severe disciplinary consequences, which may include, ISS/OSS, DAEP and/or expulsion to JJAEP pending an investigation. Please discuss the danger and consequences of vaping with your child.
(*Liquid THC is considered a felony controlled substance . Students caught with a vape device that tests positive for THC could receive a state felony charge, be arrested on campus, and face mandatory expulsion.)
Tardy Sweeps - As we mentioned last semester we will begin doing Tardy Sweeps at the Main Campus. If your child is caught during a Tardy Sweep they will receive a day of After School Detention. Please stress the importance of being on time to class each day with your child.
Student Safety - Our number one priority is to keep our students safe at Conroe High School. Please parents, remind your children they are not allowed to leave campus for lunch. If your child walks to school, please remind them to use the cross- walk at a light. If your child is a car rider, please drop them off and pick them up in the car rider line, not HWY 105 or area businesses.
Blankets - As the weather turns cooler, this is a reminder that students can not wear blankets while in the building. Any blankets brought to school should be placed in backpacks. If we have students that do not have coats or jackets, they may utilize the Communities in Schools programs on campus to help supply students with clothing needs.

If you bring your student to school by vehicle, then please remember that the traffic loop in front of the Ninth Grade Campus contains two lanes. We appreciate your attention to safety and patience every day.
