LCES United: Together We Are More!
Mrs. Hladun's Tidings
We are aiming to paint the interior of our stage black this fall in preparation for the winter and spring performances that are coming up. If you know someone who specializes in painting, can you please let me know - we'd love to talk with them about partnering on this project.
At TBMS, there has been some concern about children eating ghost peppers. Although we are not aware of any specific incidents at LCE, our communities are quite inter-related. Eating a ghost pepper can be very dangerous to your heath. If you hear your child talking about ghost peppers, please encourage them to make wise choices, reiterate that they are unsafe to eat at school and remind your child to let their teacher or a staff member know if there are children at school with ghost peppers or talking about consuming them.
Thank you for your help with after school pick up. It is essential that children are picked up in the loop or that you park and walk to campus to collect them. When people pull over or let their child hop in from the curb, the (many) cars behind them get frustrated and we tend to see some aggressive driving behavior that puts our children at risk.
Our performing arts program at LCES is top notch. This year, our 4th and 5th graders will be presenting The Lion King Kids in the spring. For more information, click here!
