College Application Deadlines...
But first, do the FAFSA or ORSAA...
FILE EARLY OR YOU MIGHT MISS OUT ON $$$
If you are planning on continuing your education beyond high school, you must complete the FAFSA or ORSAA. The FAFSA/ORSAA is a free financial aid application that will allow you to apply for loans, grants and scholarships. FAFSA stands for Free Application for Federal Student Aid, and ORSAA stands for Oregon Student Aid Application and is for Oregon residents with undocumented status or DACA students.
FAFSA/ORSAA is also required if you are planning on applying for the Oregon Promise Grant or OSAC Scholarships. These things all go hand-in-hand! Many colleges use your FAFSA data to determine your financial aid eligibility, as well as using FAFSA data to award their own aid.
FAFSA/ORSAA opens on October 1st of each year. Apply early, especially if you want to meet that early action deadline (check with the college you are applying to. Their early action deadline may be November 1st or 15th, depending on the school).
Did you miss financial Aid Night? Here are the slides from the presentation:
make sure you apply for the Oregon Promise Grant!
