School Updates
Dear WAS Families,
We had a great deal of fun at our annual vocabulary parade! We included the link to some pics here...
Speaking of pictures, we had picture retakes on Monday. The reorders should be in soon.
Furthermore, this week we had parent conferences and sent home progress reports. We want to thank all the parents for making time to hear valuable information about how your child is doing along with ways to help support them further at home. Stay tuned to our Title 1 parent engagement nights to help learn even more tips and strategies. Our first one is coming up in December.

Counselor's Corner
Hello!
It's getting on in the year, though the weather continues to be beautiful. We've been lucky to have bright, warm days and crisp, cool nights. Holidays are one after another currently.
In whole-class Guidance lessons, 4th and 5th grade have been focusing on Courage this week. We've been considering examples of extraordinary courage, such as what police and firemen on occasion have to display, and everyday courage -- such as sticking up for a friend who is being picked on, or giving a presentation before your peers. Sometimes acts of kindness take courage, and sometimes they don't, but they are always worth it.
My extension at William Allen School is x6309, and my email is tritter.m@sau64.org. Reach out to me anytime.
Best,
Michael Tritter, WAS School Counselor
New Staff Highlight
Ms. DeLeon is our new office assistant who starts next week. She will be assisting Ms. DeCost in the office who has been leading the new office staff since the start of the year. Ms. DeLeon will be helping with any needs for students, parents, and staff. She will be answering the phones and trying to help everyone with precisely what they need. We are pleased to have her join our staff this year.
