Rock Hill Review
March 22, 2020
Opening Up
In regards to Rock Hill, we are still on track to open as planned in August of 2020. We are in the process of receiving deliveries and a ton of furniture and fixtures have been delivered as you will see in the pictures below. We have also hired about 90% of our staff up to this point. There are a few positions remaining, which we will likely fill over the next two weeks. The one hiccup we are experiencing is that we are no longer able to meet with our students regularly as we have been doing. However, this isn't going to sidetrack us into letting them have a voice in our opening process! We will just be relying more on email and google forms to communicate the various choices they will be able to continue making over the next couple of months.
One area that I wanted to draw your attention to is the picture above. This is a rendering of what the Rock Hill High School diploma will look like. This is just one of the many things our Class or 2021 has been tirelessly working on over the past six months! The one difference this class will see on their diploma are the words "Charter Class" on either side of the school crest. This will signify that they were the inaugural graduating class at Rock Hill High School! These kids did an awesome job and I can't thank them enough for all the hard work they put into this. Every piece of it represents them and I'm beyond proud of their efforts.
There is no doubt there will be challenging days ahead and our opening process just got a little bit tougher, but we have great kids, parents and a community that will push through to make opening day for Rock Hill in 2020 that much sweeter!
Go BLUE HAWKS!
Dustin
