Dear Liberty Park Families,

Parent/Teacher Conference day is set for October 1st, 2019. Next week students will be brining home more information on scheduling your meeting with your child's teacher.

3rd and 4th grade parents! Mark your calendars for September 19th from 6-8pm! I invite you to join us at Liberty Park where the Indiana State Police will provide a presentation for parents of 3rd and 4th graders in Warren Township. Childcare for school age children will be available. You don't want to miss this!

Samantha Wallace - Kindergarten

My name is Samantha Wallace. I have been teaching in Warren Township for 18 years. I have taught kindergarten through 3rd grade. I live in Carmel with my 4 children. I have 3 girls and one boy ages 9, 6, 3 and 16 months. I enjoy watching sports, spending time with my family and amusement parks. My favorite food is pasta and my favorite color is green.

School Dismissal Manager

LP uses School Dismissal Manager to report student absences and set up end of day transportation routines for students. Please click the link below for additional information. Please remember to set your students dismissal option in the School Dismissal Manager App. If you need any assistance logging in or using the system please contact our front office staff.

Sports and STEM Fest

The Indianapolis Colts are hosting their first annual Sports and STEM Fest on October 12 at the Indiana Farm Bureau Football Center! This event will have hands-on, STEM-related activities for students K-12 and their families to enjoy. Registration also includes a ticket to the Colts vs Titans game on December 1. Notes from the Nurse

Parents, letters went home last week if your student still needs immunizations. Warren Township's exclusion date is September 16th. Please have the immunizations up to date before September 16th so that your student will not miss any school. If you need to schedule an appointment after September 16th please call the nurse at 317-532-1855 to let her know the date of your appointment. Your child will not be excluded if you have a scheduled appointment. You will have until the appointment date to complete the shots. Shot records can be faxed to the school at 317-532-1895. If you have any questions or concerns please call Nurse Kelly at 317-532-1855.

New Warren App and Website

Warren Township School District has a new app and website! The purpose of the app and website is to provide regular updates through the live feed, district news, and

district events sections as well as other important district information. The app includes easy access to the weekly breakfast and lunch menu, staff contacts, district documents, bullying and safety reporting form, and much much more. Family and Student Handbook

This years Family and Student Handbook will be coming home with students during the 1st week of school. It contains some helpful information for new and returning LP families! It can also be viewed/downloaded below in this newsletter.

Lunch Menu


Warren Township Schools, in partnership with Chartwells K12, publish breakfast and lunch menus through Nutrislice - an interactive website and a free smartphone app. Our school community can access our menus anywhere, anytime! Click here for the menus or download the menu Nutrislice app.

Parents and students at Chartwells districts across the country have access to descriptions, images, and nutrition and allergy information for all menu items. Our menus are also accessible on the web, mobile devices, tablets, and as a traditional PDF that can be printed and put on the fridge. We have developed our own portfolio of beautiful photos of our recipes and created exciting content and nutrition education that engages both students and parents!

Chartwells will provide reasonable modifications to students with medical needs/disabilities on a case-by-case basis with proper medical documentation from a physician or medical provider. Please contact Resident Dietitian, Haley Quade at 317-869-4441 for more information.

Additional Updates and Information

  • Boys & Girls Club will be closed Friday September 13th as their organization has a professional development day.

  • Attendance Contest - Sep.9th - All students with perfect attendance are entered into a drawing to win free conner prairie tickets.

  • AM Drop Off: Students should not be dropped off in the front of school until the 7:55am bell. In efforts to keep all students safe, kids should remain in vehicles until the bell.
  • Birthday Treat Policy: All MSD Warren Schools have aligned their birthday celebration policies to the district’s wellness policy. As part of our efforts towards health and wellness, we follow a “no birthday treats” guideline.
  • Visitors Background Checks: Volunteers must have a valid background check on file in the front office as well as be included on a students emergency contact form for any type of school volunteer opportunities. If you would like to complete this process or have any questions please stop by our front office.
  • Student Absences: If your child is ill and will not be at school, please call the front office at 532-1850 to report his/her absence. Please call and report if your child will be arriving late to school due to a doctor’s appointment. Doing so helps us to know that your child is safe and with you.

Dads Inc. will be sponsoring Dads Fun Day at the Children’s Museum Sports Legends Experience on Thursday, September 12th 4pm-7pm. It’s a FREE event for dads and their families.

The mission of Liberty Park Elementary, in partnership with its parents and surrounding community, is to provide every learner with the personalized learning experience they deserve to take ownership of their learning and become a contributing citizen in our global society.


The occasion may arise when the school district wants to recognize your child or your child's school. This may include your child's photo, your child's name or your child's work in district publications, newsletters, on school district websites, and in electronic/social media or in staff training videos. We may also want to tell the media (including newspapers, television, and radio) about your child's achievements. We never knowingly release information about a student to anyone who wants to use it for commercial/political purposes. However, we will honor your request to not include your child in these types of recognitions if you notify your child's school office in writing that you do not want this type of information released.
