Early Release Conferences

You made it through fall conferences! Please plan to come in “late” (8:00 am) if you don’t have meetings scheduled September 29th through October 3rd. If you have EP that week, please plan to take your extra late day the following week on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. Thank you to our Sunshine committee for the goodie bags and to Sue Wiley for helping arrange lunches and pizza for the staff.

Capstone Matching eBook Grant

Congratulations to Karen Martin and Terry Starner for being chosen as the recipients of this grant. This is a great opportunity to get double the amount of eBooks with our budget dollars. Our media specialists will receive $2500 in matching funds. Thank you so Karen and Terry for all you do for our students. This is great news!

Reminder: We will have our October faculty meeting on Tuesday, September 30 at 7:30 am. Our staff PTA Fun Run Kick-Off will be included in the meeting. The first ten people who email Carrie with their favorite thing about fall will get a treat in their mailboxes.

AP News

DDA testing will begin next week for grades 1-5. An email with specific information and reminders will be headed to your in-box soon. Please remember, these will be administered in the same fashion as a classroom assessment.

ITBS is also right around the corner. Special ed teachers, please be double checking to make sure your case load doesn't have any non-standard accomodations listed. Schedules, proctors, etc will be available soon after my test coordinators meeting at the beginning of October. Thank you in advance to everyone for your team work.

This is a super busy couple of months with conference, CogAT, DDA, RBES, ITBS, writing samples, report cards, etc. Know that I am very thankful for all of you and all your hard work!

Tutoring

Forms are due back to Mrs. Jackson by Wednesday, October 1. There may not be scholarships this time around, but submit potential candidates anyway and we will work to find what we can.

Thank you for continuing to smile as your plates overflow with fun......Please let me know if you need any help with scoring or understanding the yellow folder contents.
