What is global warming?
Global warming is a gradual increase in the overall temperature of the Earth's atmosphere, generally attributed to the green house effect caused by increased levels of carbon dioxide, chlorofluorocarbons (CFC's), and other pollutants.
How Does Global Warming Occur?
Global warming occurs when carbon dioxide and other air pollutants collect in the atmosphere and absorb light/ solar radiation that has bounced off the Earth's surface. Normally, this radiation would escape into space, but these pollutants, which can last for years to centuries in the atmosphere, trap the heat. Thus, causing the planet to get hotter.
Issues Caused by Global Warming
Global warming is the cause of many changes in the environment including ice and glaciers melting, a decrease in some animal species, the sea level rising faster, an increase in precipitation, and some animals and plants migrating to cooler areas.

Economic Effects of Global Warming
Some economic effects of global warming include, coping costs, mass migration and security threats, lost productivity, and damage to property and infrastructure.
Health Effects of Global Warming
Global warming doesn't just effect the environment but it can also effect human health. Some health effects are respiratory problems due to the poor air quality, an increase in allergens, and some diseases and bacteria may increase in some areas due to the change in temperatures. Global warming can also cause an increase in natural disasters, which can put many people in harms way and possibly take many lives.
Reducing Global Warming
The use energy efficient appliances, reducing the amount of carbon emissions ,recycling,
reducing the amount of tropical deforestation, and building an overall clean energy economy will help prevent global warming.
