Titan Families,

As we look at February coming to an end, there are still avenues to show love and care in our Titan and Leander ISD Community. Our district offers an avenue for campus communities to spotlight a staff member in the Leander ISD community. Please consider taking some time to submit this form and shine some light on one or many of our amazing Titan staff members.

There are several ways for you to get engaged on our campus further. In this newsletter, there is information from the campus and district regarding mentorship and career day. Please be sure to read the information and consider serving our campus and district and live into our theme of showing love and care for our Titan and Leander ISD Community. Thanks in advance for your consideration.

As always, be sure to read through the information here to ensure you're in the know of our campus and district happenings. Should you need anything, please reach out. Let's make it a great week of building and showing PRIDE in all we do!

Take care and be well,

Dr. Amy Sharp

Proud RPE Principal

Career Day on April 4-6th- We Need YOU

River Place Elementary (RPE) is excited to host Career Day on April 4-6th! To make this event happen, we are looking for community members and RPE families who would like to share about their careers with our Titan student body. This is a wonderful way to get involved and spread awareness for all the possibilities our Titans have as they dream about their futures! The goal is to have several types of careers as possible to showcase our Titans. If you are interested in this opportunity, there is a google form attached to this email to fill out. Thanks in advance for your consideration and time. Read more about the opportunity below.

In the form, to support the placement process, be prepared to describe in detail what you plan to present and bring with you during your 20-30 minute presentation. Please keep in mind that you will be presenting in your child’s classroom as well as with some, or all, of the other classes in that grade level. If we have several adults interested from one classroom, we will aim to have the adult(s) placed in another classroom. See the google form for the specific date and time(s) your child’s grade level will be participating. Be sure to submit your response by February 24th, so proper scheduling and planning can take place. We will be in touch with those of you that have chosen to volunteer your time to this amazing experience!

Thank you all so much, and we look forward to making this event a huge success for our students at RPE!

If you have any questions, please email ( Campus PTA Liaison).

Long Range Planning, Legislative Priorities & School Board Meetings

Stay Informed:

  • Check out the updated long range plan. Right now, the VHS feeder zone is not a part of rezoning discussions; however, you'll notice our feeder pattern will be for the 2025-26 school year. Should you want to follow how the northern portion of the district is managing the rezoning, we encourage you to monitor/engage in those sessions, attend school board meetings, and join district committees.
  • Check out our district's legislative session priorities.
  • Check out our school board meetings to support your understanding of how our district works for our #1LISD community.

  • March 2, 8 and 21
  • April 7,14, and 28

  1. Read through the expectations and sample schedule

  2. If you have not done so already, register as a Leander ISD Volunteer

  3. Sign up here for one or more dates this spring

  4. Marc Grace will contact you one week before your volunteer day with more detailed information.
