Everyone has a job to help out our farmstand!
First and second graders staff the stand!
Kindergarten made our beautiful posters. Oak inventories our leftover produce. (Maple did in the fall)
First grade cooks with the produce. (Any class is welcome to cook too!)
4th & 1st - Sycamore & Gingko walk the leftovers to the soup kitchen.
3rd - Chestnut counts the money each week. (Tulip did in the fall)
Fifth grade manages our lending bag system and painted our lending bags.
All classes manage their shared funds!
Gingko delivering to the soup kitchen.
Chesnuts doing some farmstand fueled cooking!
Remember you can contribute to your student's class shared fund with Venmo!
Reach out to your child's teachers if you have questions about exactly how their class handles the funds.

A note on the farmstand cash flow and program in general
We don't make any money on the stand and at times we lose a little, but that's not the point.
We have a grant from Slow Food NYC to help purchase some of the equipment we use and to give us some seed money if needed.
Our goal is for the farmstand to be a multi-faceted, cross-grade, cross-curricular learning experience.
And it really works!
