Important Transportation Information
Please see the information posted below. Due to this project, some bus routes will be affected. If your child's route will be affected, a letter will be given to them from their driver. Please also note that Walnut South will also be closed at this time. So, Walnut North to Chicago Trail will be your best route. Those of you who transport your students to school, be sure to allow more time after Spring Break for this delay.
ISTEP Part 2 Testing Window
Our 3-5 students did such a great job on the first round of ISTEP testing, and our 3rd graders did their very best on the IREAD3 test. Our last testing window is APRIL 17-MAY 5. Once a detailed schedule is complete, it will be shared with you. Please try not to schedule appointments or days off of school during this time.
All NPUSC schools are planning a primary site evacuation drill. This means we will be practicing evacuating the building and going to the New Carlisle Library. It is important to practice this drill in the event that we would need to evacuate our building and seek shelter. For Olive, this drill is scheduled for the afternoon of April 13. Do not be alarmed if you see or hear about all students evacuating the building. It is just a drill. The New Carlisle Police Department will be present, blocking traffic and ensuring the safety of our students. If you have any questions about this drill, please contact me.
Not Returning to Olive Next Year?
If this is the case, we will miss you so! But, please let us know so we can plan accordingly. If your student will not be returning for the 2017-18 school year, please call the main office or email me.
